The Shaker Logistics community teamed up throughout the 2021 holiday season to support our local Waterford community by donating to the town of Waterford’s food drive and local adopt-a-family initiatives.

In November, employees from Shaker’s logistics and transport divisions held a friendly competition to fill boxes on site with non-perishable food and personal care items. These items were delivered to the town’s drive-through food drive on November 14 at the Waterford Senior Center.

For the Christmas holiday, Shaker employees partnered with Albany and Saratoga counties to adopt multiple families in need, and adorned their office Christmas tree with ornaments listing desired gifts. Employees purchased items and donated cash to make the holidays merrier for these families.

“We are so fortunate, during another pandemic year that’s been so difficult for so many people, to be able to give back to our local communities,” said Megan Fagnani, manager of people and culture. She worked with several employees to organize the events. “Through employee efforts like these and Convoy for a Cause, we have the great privilege of sharing our success with those around us.”
